I am a fine artist specializing in wildlife art, landscapes, and commissions, whose passion for nature merges with creative expression seeking to convey the awe-inspiring beauty of nature.
In a fast-paced world, My art is intended to serve as a sanctuary—a place to pause, reflect, and reconnect with the natural world. I invite you to embark on a joyful exploration of extraordinary beauty and colour, finding inspiration and solace in the magic of wildlife, landscapes, and natural forms.
I hope that my artistic expressions ignite curiosity, fuel imagination, and awaken a sense of wonder in all who engage with my art-Suzanne Brooks.
Through meticulous observation and imagination, I seek to capture the essence of magnificent creatures and breathtaking landscapes. Inspired by the vibrant colours, graceful movements, and ever-changing moods of the great outdoors, I hope to transport viewers to enchanting realms, fostering a deep connection and sense of wonder with nature.
With each brushstroke, my aim is to convey more than a physical likeness, but also the soul, spirit, and character of my subjects to tell emotional stories. By sparking a dialogue between viewers and the natural world, I strive to create profound connections.
Beyond the visual appeal, her art also aims to raise awareness and inspire responsible action for wildlife and their habitats. In the face of habitat loss and environmental degradation, she hopes to remind people of the importance of conservation and preserving our natural heritage. By appreciating the beauty around us and fostering a deeper connection with nature, we can protect our planet.
Born in the picturesque town of Bunbury, Western Australia, in 1975, my artistic journey has taken me across continents, exploring the beauty of Europe, South Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the captivating landscapes of the British Isles. Having emigrated from Perth, Australia, to the UK in 1985, my love for drawing and painting blossomed as I immersed myself in the British countryside. Though mainly self-taught, I honed her skills further by attending the Worcester College of Art & Design.
Eventually settling on the Isle of Man with my daughter, I have found profound artistic inspiration in the island's stunning landscapes, steeped in myth and legend. The Manx countryside, abundant with wildlife, and fauna, and bordered by the dramatic coastline and the raw Irish Sea, has become my inspiration.
My favorite medium is acrylics, although I like to use many other different mediums whilst constantly experimenting trying to achieve different effects and results. Many pieces are sketched in pastels, watercolors, or graphite first before the final studio rendering which is often worked in a combination of acrylic and oils for vibrancy and richness of color. I believe that working in a single medium is restrictive and love the opportunity to learn and experiment as I work. Each idea is unique and manifests its own individual richness style and character. I really hope you like them as much as I have enjoyed working on them x
